National Wildlife Federation

Kameny Design worked with the National Wildlife Federation to design a K-6 Urban Pollinator curriculum, to be used in NYC schools. Our task was to create an engaging tool that would inspire both teachers and students. We produced playful and instructive illustrations that were inviting to both audiences. And, we were able to utilize many photographs for instruction. This suite of materials included a 218-page curriculum including 20 lessons in two seasonal sections, a seed packet for at-home distribution, and a 12-page gardening booklet for teachers, parents, and students alike. This popular project was successfully shared with other communities.

National Wildlife Federation, one of the largest nonprofit conservation education and advocacy organizations in the US, has been fighting for the conservation values that have been woven into the fabric of our nation’s collective heritage since 1936. Through programs, curriculum, scientific reports, and more, the National Wildlife Federation is furthering knowledge about nature and wildlife, and inspiring future environmental stewards.
